The Stone Expertise Behind Your Vision

Great design depends on great execution. When your project calls for stone — whether it’s a custom residential interior, a landmark public space, or a precision exterior application — Connecticut Stone is the partner trade professionals rely on to help get the material side right.

For over 75 years, we have worked alongside architects, interior designers, landscape architects, and builders on projects of every scale and complexity. Our role is to support yours: to bring deep knowledge of stone to your design process, help you navigate material selection, and provide the sourcing, fabrication, and logistical support that turns a specification into a finished installation.

You drive the vision. We help you bring it to life in stone.

How We Work With You

Every project is different, and so is every working relationship. Some clients want a deep collaborative engagement from the early design stages. Others come to us with a specification already in hand and need a reliable source and fabricator. We adapt to how you work.

What stays consistent is the expertise we bring to the table. Our team has spent decades working with natural stone across every application — interior and exterior, residential and commercial, domestic and international. That depth of experience means we can offer meaningful guidance at each stage of the process: helping you evaluate materials for a specific application, flagging potential challenges before they become problems on site, and suggesting alternatives when a specification runs into availability, budget, or performance constraints.

The Projects We Support

Over 75 years, Connecticut Stone has been part of the team on projects ranging from landmark public spaces and institutional campuses to carefully detailed private residences and custom architectural commissions. We don’t discuss specific clients by name — discretion matters to us and to the people we work with — but the breadth of our experience speaks for itself.

Commercial & Institutional

We have contributed material expertise and supply to major public spaces, performing arts venues, university campuses, healthcare facilities, municipal projects, and large-scale commercial interiors across the United States. Projects of this scale involve complex specifications, long lead times, phased delivery, and a lot of moving parts. We understand that environment and know how to be a useful, reliable resource within it — staying responsive, flagging issues early, and supporting your team’s process rather than adding to its complexity.

High-End Residential

Some of the most detail-intensive work we are involved in is residential. Luxury renovations, custom new builds, and private estates — in Connecticut, across the United States, and internationally — often call for materials that are difficult to source, fabricated to exacting tolerances, and delivered with a level of care that reflects the client’s expectations for the home. We are comfortable operating in that environment and take that standard of care seriously.

Our residential clients have included some of the most discerning private individuals in the country. We don’t name them. What we can say is that we bring the same attentiveness and quality of work to every residential project, regardless of size.

Whether the project involves a single bespoke architectural detail or a multi-phase campus installation, we approach every engagement the same way — with genuine interest in helping it succeed.

Access to Materials. In-House Fabrication. Coordinated Logistics.

One of the most practical things Connecticut Stone can offer a trade professional is access — to materials, to production capabilities, and to the kind of sourcing relationships that are hard to develop without decades of industry presence.

Our network of quarry and manufacturing partners spans Europe, South America, Asia, and beyond, built over 75 years of working relationships. When a project calls for a specific marble from a particular region, a rare material in a large-format size, or a custom-dimensioned stone for an architectural application, we can often help find it. We make no guarantees — availability and lead times vary — but our network gives us options that most suppliers don’t have.

Alongside that sourcing capability, our in-house fabrication shop in Milford, Connecticut handles precision work for both interior and exterior applications. We work to your specifications, keep you informed on progress, and review quality before anything ships. If something isn’t right, we’d rather catch it here than on your job site.

  • Sample & Mock-Up Support Material samples and finish reviews to help your team confirm selections before fabrication begins.

Let’s Talk About Your Project

Some of the best conversations we have start early — before a specification is locked, when there’s still room to explore options. Others start with a very specific need and a tight timeline. We’re useful in both situations, and everywhere in between.

If you have a project coming up, a material question you’re working through, or a specification you’d like a second set of eyes on, we’re happy to talk. No commitment, no pressure — just a conversation with people who know stone and want to be helpful.
