3 Piece - Random Pattern

(8 x 8, 8 x 16, and 16 x 16)
Here is the breakdown for a 3 piece random pattern using Honed or European Finish tiles. The pattern covers 16 square feet.

A.  For each 16 sf you will need the following pieces.

  • 4 pieces of 8 x 8
  • 4 pieces of 8 x 16
  • 6 pieces of 16 x 16

B.  Number of patterns needed

  • Divide the total square feet needed by the 16 (the sf pattern) which will give you the number of patterns you will need.

C.  Quantity of pieces you will need of each size

  • Multiply the number of patterns you will need (B) by the quantity of each piece need to make up a pattern (A).

Example:

  • Total needed = 96 square feet
  • Divide by 16 (the sf pattern)= 6 patterns needed
  • Multiply the 6 patterns by the number of pieces needed in each size:
    • 6 (x) 4 pieces of 8 x 8 = 24 pieces of 8 x 8
    • 6 (x) 4 pieces of 8 x 16 = 24 pieces of 8 x 16
    • 6 (x) 6 pieces of 16 x 16 = 36 pieces of 16 x 16
