Online Purchase Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Connecticut Stone Supplies, Inc. We ask that you abide by the following terms and conditions for all online purchases. By placing an order through our website, you agree to these terms. Connecticut Stone reserves the right to revise these Conditions at any time. When changes are made, they will be posted here. Continued use of the site constitutes acceptance of any revised terms.

FOB Terms

All prices are FOB Milford, Connecticut.  Unless otherwise specified, all orders are assumed to be available for pickup at our Milford, CT location.

1. Payment Terms

  1. Full payment is due at checkout for all online orders.
  2. Accepted payment methods include American Express, Discover, MasterCard, Visa.

2. Pallet Deposits

  1. After your online order is placed, Connecticut Stone will calculate the number of pallets required (only if applicable).
  2. Pallets may be required for items like cobblestones, bluestone, concrete paving stones, and concrete wall systems.
  3. Pallet deposits are refundable when returned within 6 months of purchase. Proof of purchase is required to receive your refund.
  4. If pallet(s) are required and there is a balance due, a Connecticut Stone team member will contact you for payment.

3. Shipping & Delivery

  1. Shipping is available upon request.
  2. Shipping and freight charges are calculated at checkout based on weight, location, and method.
  3. Standard delivery is curbside only.
  4. Delivery can be added to your order. Call us at (203) 882-1000 to arrange delivery after online purchase.
  5. For natural stone orders, product approval (in person or via photos) may be required prior to shipping due to lot variation.
  6. Stock items typically ship within 3–5 business days. Custom or special orders may take longer.
  7. Customers must inspect deliveries upon arrival. Damage or discrepancies must be noted on the delivery receipt and reported within 48 hours.

4. Returns & Exchanges

  1. All return requests must be made within 5 days of shipment or pickup date.
  2. Returns must be authorized by Connecticut Stone and completed within 30 days of purchase.
  3. Returned products must be in original, unopened packaging, in full case quantities, and in good, resalable condition.
  4. We will not accept culled, chipped, damaged, installed, marred, or marked products.
  5. Bagged cement products (e.g., polymeric sand, Portland cement, mortars, thin set, Quikrete) are not returnable.
  6. Approved returns are subject to a 25% restocking fee.
  7. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer.

5. Natural Stone & Tile Variation

  1. Natural stone and handcrafted tile vary in color, veining, texture, and finish.
  2. These characteristics are not defects but part of the natural beauty.
  3. Customers are encouraged to view samples or request lot photos before ordering.

6. Discrepancies & Defects

  1. Connecticut Stone is not responsible for confirming quantities or determining waste factors. All quotes are estimates.
  2. Buyer must confirm details prior to ordering.
  3. Shortages must be reported in writing. Connecticut Stone will cure shortages by supplying the conforming quantity.
  4. Defects must be reported in writing immediately.
  5. Do not install defective material without written agreement. INSTALLATION EQUALS ACCEPTANCE.
  6. Misuse, improper installation, and inappropriate application are not covered under warranty.
  7. Warranty claims must be submitted within 10 days of delivery or pickup.

8. Limited Warranty

  1. Connecticut Stone warrants that products match the type and quantity on the order.
  2. Due to inherent natural variations, shade, size, texture, and color may differ.
  3. Connecticut Stone disclaims all other express or implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a specific purpose.
  4. No warranty is made regarding mechanical, physical, or chemical properties or performance.
  5. Connecticut Stone’s liability is limited to the actual dollar amount of the product supplied.

9. Order Cancellations

  1. Stock item orders may be cancelled within 24 hours if not yet shipped.
  2. Custom or special-order items are non-cancellable once production begins.
  3. Cancellation fees may apply and will not be less than 15%.

10. Sales Tax

  1. Connecticut sales tax is applied. If we are going to ship your product out of state, sales tax will be updated based on the shipping address.

11. Availability & Inventory

  1. Inventory is updated regularly, but availability is not guaranteed.
  2. For limited stock products, contact us prior to ordering to confirm availability.

12. Jurisdiction

  1. This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut. All disputes shall be subject to Connecticut jurisdiction.
