Seasonal Laborer (Yard) - Stamford, CT

The position requires the ability to work Monday to Friday from 7:00 am through 4:30 pm and Saturday from 7:00 am to 12:30 pm.  The position is seasonal through October 2021.

Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:  

  1. Providing customer service by assisting customers with their stone purchases.
  2. Loading of materials into customer vehicles.
  3. Maintaining supplies by preparing and stocking materials in designated areas.
  4. Maintains a neat and orderly work area at all times.
  5. Lifts as well as carries materials and equipment throughout the work areas using appropriate equipment.
  6. Performs daily yard cleaning and maintenance.

 Education and/or Knowledge/Experience includes: 

  1. Ability to provide excellent customer service, come rain or shine!
  2. Ability to communicate effectively and work in a multi-cultural environment.
  3. Able to lift and/or move up to 80 pounds without assistance.
  4. Bilingual is advantageous.

Customer Service / Cashier - Milford CT

This position is seasonal, for approximately 5 months, beginning as soon as possible. The hours of work are Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 7:30am to 5pm and Saturday 7am to 1 pm (Days off Tuesday and Sunday).

Reporting directly to the VP of Operations, duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  1. Greets incoming customers professionally.
  2. Provides quality customer service to customers and potential clients.
  3. Processes customer sales, including cash and credit card.
  4. Ensures showroom is consistently neat, orderly and displays are organized and maintained.
  5. Provides administrative support as needed, including typing, filing, copying and organizing.
  6. Creates and edits documents utilizing Microsoft Office and Google Docs.
  7. Other assignments as required.

Education and/or Knowledge/Experience includes:

  1. Previous customer service experience preferred. The ability to deliver excellent customer service required.
  2. Organizational skills and the ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment are essential.
  3. Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  4. Demonstrated initiative and a sense of urgency is required.
  5. Demonstrated computer skills including experience of Microsoft Word, Google Docs, Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets and Google Mail.
  6. Experience with payment processing systems is preferred.
  7. Bilingual preferred.

Laborer (Installation Team) - Milford CT

The Laborer will support our experienced team to install natural stone, porcelain and quartz countertops and slab walls within the tri-state and New England area.  The position requires the ability to work Monday to Friday from 7:30 am through 4:30 pm. Flexibility in finishing time is needed when the project requires this. A current and valid driver’s license is essential.

Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  1. Provides assistance to installation crew members in loading, unloading and installing scope of work.
  2. Maintains tools and supplies by ensuring fully operational, clean and stored in organized manner.
  3. Utilizes tools and equipment in the manner they are permitted for.
  4. Lifts as well as carries materials and equipment throughout work areas using appropriate equipment.
  5. Reports any problems, concerns, or discrepancies to the management.
  6. Performs general housekeeping duties as instructed.
  7. Performs other laborer tasks as needed throughout the facility.

Education and/or Knowledge/Experience includes:

  1. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  2. Good communication skills.
  3. Ability to lift up to 80 lbs unassisted and the ability to lift as a team is required.
  4. Ability to regularly stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms, and frequently climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl is required.
  5. Knowledge of basic hand tools and tape measure is essential.
  6. Attention to detail and accuracy is critical.
  7. Current and valid Driver’s License is essential.
  8. Must have ability to work flexible hours, including overtime, and be able to travel to job sites throughout the state and surrounding counties.
  9. Knowledge and experience of basic carpentry and/or tiling is preferred.
  10. Additional experience as a handyman or kitchen/bathroom installation is beneficial.

The Laborer is responsible for performing assigned general labor duties as required.  This is a full time, benefits eligible position.

Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  1. Receives cut stone from machine and stack on pallets to customer order.
  2. Lifts as well as carries materials and equipment throughout work areas using appropriate equipment.
  3. Maintains a neat and orderly work area at all times.
  4. Performs daily cleaning and maintenance.

Education and/or Knowledge/Experience includes:

  1. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and six month related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  2. Ability to work in an environment where constantly standing, exposed to wet and humid conditions and loud noise.
  3. Able to wear personal protective equipment to protect against noise, machinery and airborne particles.
  4. Ability to frequently lift and/or move 50-75 pounds without assistance.
  5. Ability to communicate effectively and work in a multi-cultural environment.
