Responsible for the installation of natural stone, porcelain and quartz.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Completes installation projects as required and in accordance with CT Stone SOP’s.
  2. Execute project assignment from start to finish, ensuring final project meets
    expectations.
  3. Provides direction and supervision to Helpers and Senior Helpers to ensure project
    completed safely and in accordance with CT Stone SOP’s.
  4. Manage material and equipment allocation to team assigned for project. Ensure tools
    and supplies are fully operational, clean and utilized in the manner they are permitted
    for.
  5. Communicate effectively directly with customers, contractors and other site personnel.
  6. Maintain overall awareness of job status and requirements. Provides regular consistent
    communication to Supervisor throughout project and immediately relay any out of project
    scope changes or problems, concerns, or discrepancies to the management.*
  7. Submit installation report by the next workday, including inventory sheet and
    photographs of completed job.
  8. Enforce and promote safety standards, including lifting and handling techniques,
    personal protective equipment and general housekeeping.
  9. Conducts field measurement and templating where required. Provides basic drawings
    for fabrication team as needed.
  10.  Perform field cut outs outside wherever possible. When inside ensure use drop cloths
    and vacuum to minimize dust and debris.
  11. Ensures that jobsite is thoroughly cleaned and inspected, both inside and outside, prior
    to leaving.*
  12. Reports all occupational injuries or illnesses to management immediately.*

Language Ability:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to
write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small
group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Math Ability:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common
fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar
graphs.

Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral,
or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized
situations.

Ability to read and interpret drawings.

Equipment:

  • Basic knowledge of hand and power tools
    • Wet Saw
    • Grinder
    • Polisher

Knowledge, Skills, and Other Abilities:

  • Basic carpentry skills.
  • Basic tiling skills.
  • Knowledge of CT Stone product (stone, quartz, tile).
  • Knowledge and proficient use of installation materials including but not limited to thinset,
    epoxy and sealers.
  • Knowledge of plumbing fixtures and how they integrate with materials.
  • The ability to bend and twist while holding weight
  • Knowledge of company policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of health and safety procedures
  • Knowledge of good loading practices and procedures

Education/Experience and Qualifications:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or six months to one year related
experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • OSHA 10 Certificate
  • Current and valid Drivers License.
  • D.O.T. Medical Card

required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, ability
to adjust focus, and ability to see color. The maximum amount of weight required to be lifted will
be less than 125 pounds.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet or humid
conditions (non-weather), work near moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, sun
exposure, and outdoor weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to work in high,
precarious places, toxic or caustic chemicals, exposed to silica, and risk of electrical shock.

The noise level in the work environment is moderate to very loud.

Must also have ability to work flexible hours, including overtime, and be able to travel to job sites
throughout the state and surrounding counties.
